Yuriy Bushuev (orcid.org/0000-0001-9463-8627) is a professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland since 2020.

He graduated from Ivanovo State University (Russia) in 1980 and defended the Ph.D. and Dr.Sc. dissertations in 1990 and 2002, respectively. Mostly, he worked at Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology.

From 2004 to 2006, he worked as a post-doc at the University of Michigan and after at ITQ (2008-2010) and the University of Warwick, UK (2012-2015). He had short-term visits at ITQ (2011) and the University of Valencia (2012). The sphere of his scientific interest is computer simulations of liquids, solutions, microporous solids, and heterogeneous hydrophobic systems.
