
Pedro Serna
CSIC Research Scientist at ITQ
Pedro Serna is a Research Scientist at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ, CSIC-UPV), where he leads the Advanced Materials for Novel Transformations (AMuNT) group. His research focuses on advanced catalytic materials, including subnanometer metal species and redox materials for chemical looping applications, combining synthesis, in-operating characterization, and synchrotron techniques. He has more than 20 years of academic and industrial experience, including leading the catalysis division at ExxonMobil (U.S.). He is a co-author of publications in Science, Nature Catalysis, JACS, and Angewandte Chemie, in addition to holding 12 patents and having received more than 8,500 citations.
