Reference centre
At the Instituto de Tecnología Química (ITQ CISC-UPV), science is working toward a more sustainable future.
The Instituto de Tecnología Química is a joint research center established in 1990 by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), with its headquarters on the UPV’s Vera Campus.
Jobs and Scholarships
ITQ offers contracts and scholarships that constitute an important opportunity for the professional development of applicants, and represents a world of opportunities where research and training can be done in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
The Institute seeks to encourage young people to carry out scientific projects at the highest level to become scientific leaders worldwide.
Research lines
The ITQ focuses its activities on three major fields: catalysis; advanced functional materials; and chemical reactions and processes.
These are very diverse fields, but if there is one thing that characterizes the Institute, it is that whenever a new area of interest arises in society, it is able to reorient its research to solve existing problems.
Infrastructure
The ITQ scientists have a wide range of facilities that offer latest generation scientific technologies and services, designed to incorporate most innovative technologies.
These facilities are a key asset for our research, which allows the Institute to obtain outstanding results.
Publications
Academic publications in scientific journals are the materialization of the generation of knowledge, one of the main objectives of the ITQ.
Equality Commission
The ITQ Equality Commission was created in December 2018, and in April 2021 it became an official working group of the institute’s board.
The main line of work of the Commission focuses on the role of women in science in general, and on their situation in the ITQ in particular, although it is not the only one, dealing with any other issue that arises and may generate inequalities in our environment.
