Juan Bisquert

Distinguished Researcher at ITQ

Juan Bisquert is a Distinguished Researcher at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ, CSIC-UPV) and an international leader in the physics of functional devices, impedance spectroscopy, and ionic-electronic materials. He has published nearly 500 scientific articles, has accumulated more than 54,000 citations, and ranks among the world’s most cited researchers (Highly Cited Researcher, Clarivate).

His current research focuses on neuromorphic materials and devices for Physical AI, including memristors, ion-electron transistors, and neuron-inspired oscillators. In 2023, he received an ERC Advanced Grant to develop neuromorphic networks based on perovskites.
