
Alexandra Velty
UPV Senior Research Support Technician (with recognized research capabilities)
Alexandra Velty is a Senior Research Support Technician (UPV, with recognized research qualifications) at the ITQ (CSIC-UPV), where she has been conducting her scientific work since 2003. Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of advanced multifunctional catalysts for decarbonization processes and sustainable chemistry, including biomass valorization and the conversion of CO₂ into chemicals and fuels within the framework of the circular economy and circular chemistry.
She has experience in research and technology transfer projects with companies in the chemical sector. In 2024, she was awarded the “Frontiers Planet Prize – Spanish Champion.”
