Avelino Corma, awarded with the Blaise Pascal Medal for Chemistry of the European Academy of Sciences

Professor Avelino Corma, founder of the Institute of Chemical Technology (UPV-CSIC) of Valencia, has been awarded with the Blaise Pascal Medal for Chemistry of the European Academy of Sciences for his contribution to science in the field of chemistry and catalysis.

This distinction, awarded by the European Academy of Sciences since 2003, recognizes outstanding personal contributions to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research and education.

 

Among the winners in previous editions are: the winner of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2016 Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage, the winner of the Wolf Prof. Henri B. Kagan Award or the president of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Prof. Helmutz Schwarz.

The award ceremony will take place next October at the German University of Bielefeld.
